Dominion Radiology Associates (DRA) is a professional physician group providing sub-specialized diagnostic imaging, vascular surgery, and interventional radiology services to the Richmond and Hampton Roads area.

All of our radiologists are Board Certified by the American Board of Radiology and many have additional specialized certification. We currently have 34 diagnostic radiologists, 11 Interventional radiologists, 2 vascular surgeons, and 6 mid-level practitioners. Our physicians were trained at some of the most prestigious radiology programs in the country including Mallinckrodt, Johns Hopkins, Duke, Stanford, University of Virginia, Virginia Commonwealth University, Memorial Sloan-Kettering, M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, University of Pennsylvania, and Baylor College of Medicine among others. We provide sub-specialized expertise in all major areas of radiology including, but not limited to, Neuroradiology, Orthopedic Imaging, Women’s Imaging, Nuclear medicine, Trauma Imaging, Oncology/Cancer Imaging as well as performing minimally invasive techniques for detection and treatment of many types of disease.

We are committed to always using the most sophisticated cutting edge imaging equipment and IT resources, including High field 3 Tesla and Open MRI units, Multidetector CT scanners armed with radiation dosage monitoring software to minimize radiation exposure, 3D tomosynthesis, and state of the art Ultrasound units; We ensure that all of the imaging centers and offices that we own, manage, or support are accredited by the American College of Radiology (ACR), a prestigious designation and rigorous process.

We provide professional services to 1 hospital, 1 Emergency department, 3 outpatient imaging departments, and multiple urgent care centers.

DRA’s physicians are supported by a highly effective and skilled administrative team. This team has been recognized nationally for best practices in radiology and has enabled us to provide state of the art imaging services, facilities, and technology.

DRA has been present in Hampton Roads and has been the only group to provide services to Chesapeake Regional Medical Center since its inception in 1976. Over the course of this relationship, it has developed close ties to the community and hospital. Our members are well integrated in the Hampton Roads region, serving on numerous hospital committees and participating in local medical and community organizations. We provide additional value to our medical staff via multiple weekly interdisciplinary conferences in conjunction with pulmonary medicine, neuroscience, neurovascular, and oncology. Operating under the name Chesapeake Radiology Ltd., the group merged with DRA in 2020, increasing the number of subspecialty radiologists and adding resources to further support the group's mission of world class radiology in Hampton Roads. DRA is committed to this region, its patients, and physicians. Our services will never be outsourced, and we are committed to independence. We are members of this community and look forward to growing with this region.
