ARA Health Specialists (ARAHS) is seeking a Fellowship Trained Vascular and Interventional Radiologist to join our existing section in beautiful Asheville, North Carolina. Our ideal candidate should have a keen interest in practice building and a strong desire to join a clinically relevant IR team performing high end IR that supports our rapidly expanding presence in Western North Carolina.
Vascular and Interventional Radiology at ARAHS
Full Range of IR services -- Interventional oncology, PE/DVT thrombectomy, trauma, uterine and prostate artery embolization, portal and hepatobiliary, dialysis access and fistula intervention, venous recanalization and insufficiency intervention, GI/GU, and the full breadth of “bread and butter” interventions (ports, g-tubes, biopsies, drains, etc).
Clinical IR position – our IR service enjoys a strong outpatient referral network serviced through our outpatient clinic and a robust consult service within the hospital supported by 9 APs.
We enjoy a collaborative environment with our Vascular Surgery and Neuro-Interventional partners.
We service the largest health system in Western Carolina and serve as a tertiary referral center for the area.
Our expertise and close relationships with diverse specialists in the tertiary care setting (via multiple weekly multidisciplinary conferences, etc.) have been a driving force in the growth of our practice, and we are seeking a proficient, motivated, and efficient IR to help meet the growing needs of our local community here in Western North Carolina.
Approximately 80% Interventional Radiology; 20% Diagnostic
IR call is shared equally, on average 1:8, no imaging call

Our group is a stable, independent, physician-owned multi-specialty practice (57 radiologists, 19 APPs, and 5 vascular surgeons) with a highly engaged leadership team and support staff.
