Mary Washington Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Advanced Practice Provider to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care in Fredericksburg, Virginia. You will enjoy the benefits of being a hospital employee and part of a multispecialty group comprised of 300+ members including hospitalists and a wide range of specialists.
This position works collaboratively with a dynamic team to evaluate orders, complete procedures, dictate procedures performed, consult patients, and write orders. Our team includes Interventional Radiologists, nurse managers, nurse supervisors, technologist supervisors, RN’s, CNA’s, and IR technologists. This team is comprised of multi-skilled professionals that are patient focused and supportive of one another.
Responsibilities:
Perform pre-procedure assessments and H&P’s
Complete necessary patient care documents
Evaluate referring MD orders
Order procedural sedation and necessary pre-procedure labs and imaging.
Write post procedure orders and discharge summary
Patients per day: Average 25 (Mon-Fri), Sat averages about 10. This is inclusive of both APP patients and Radiologist patients.

Minimum Requirements:
- Valid Adult Nurse Practitioner License from Virginia
- Master’s degree in nursing (MSN) from an accredited school required
- Valid Physician Assistant License from Virginia
- Physician Assistant Degree from an accredited school required
- AHA BLS Provider CPR required at hire
- Minimum of 1-year Interventional Radiology, ICU or Critical Care APP experience required
