Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Interventional Radiologist to join our team in San Antonio. This physician will perform a wide range of interventional procedures using advanced imaging techniques to treat a variety of urology-specific medical conditions, while collaborating closely with urologists and multidisciplinary providers to deliver high-quality, minimally invasive care.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform interventional procedures including artery embolization of the prostate, hemorrhoid, kidney, and varicocele, as well as peripheral angiography and related interventions, with a focus on procedural efficacy, safety, and the highest standards of patient care.
- Conduct the occasional renal biopsy and nephrostomy tube placement/exchange if needed.
- Use advanced imaging modalities (fluoroscopy, ultrasound, CT, MRI) to guide procedures.
- Provide patient consultations, ensuring clear communication of procedures, risks, and outcomes to ensure informed consent.
- Collaborate with physicians and care teams to create comprehensive, individualized treatment plans.
- Continue medical education and track developments in interventional radiology to aid in the development of new or improved protocols/best practices.
- Contribute to departmental case discussions, protocol development, and education initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
- Completion of an accredited residency in Diagnostic Radiology.
- Fellowship training in Interventional Radiology.
- Licensed to practice medicine in the state of Texas by the Texas Medical Board.
- Board certification in Radiology and eligibility for board certification in Interventional Radiology.
- Understanding of advanced interventional techniques, tools, imaging modalities/software.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and radiology information systems (RIS).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to make quick, informed decisions during complications.
- Competent clinical skills with a focus on patient-centered outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Board certification in Radiology with a subspecialty in Interventional Radiology.
- 5 years of clinical experience in interventional radiology performing the procedures expected of this position.
- Demonstrated proficiency in advanced interventional techniques, tools, imaging modalities/software.
- Experience in a leadership role within a hospital, clinic, or catheterization lab.
- Strong record of multidisciplinary collaboration.
Compensation & Benefits
- Our highly Competitive Compensation Structure includes a Pathway to $1,000,000 + Annual Income.
- Annual Base Salary Range: $600,000 - $800,000 depending on qualifications.
- Performance-Based Profit Sharing: eligible in year 2 of employment.
- On-Call Requirement: None
- Annual Vacation Time: 6 Weeks + Recognized Federal Holidays
- 401k: Employer match up to 4% on IRS limit, employer contributions are fully vested at year 6. Available in year 2 of employment.

Schedule
- Monday – Thursday: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Friday Afternoons Off
Daily Breakdown:
- Procedures: 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
- Consultations: 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. (Monday – Thursday)
Location
This position is based in San Antonio, TX. Candidates must reside in, or be willing to relocate to, San Antonio or the surrounding area.
