Description
Interventional Radiologist Opportunity – Skagit Valley, WA
Skagit Radiology, Inc. / Northstar Radiology has been a trusted provider of sub-specialized diagnostic and interventional radiology services since 1972, serving communities across northwest Washington, the Olympic Peninsula, and Alaska. In response to recent retirements and continued regional growth, we are seeking a fellowship-trained Interventional Radiologist to join our collegial, physician-owned practice.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape and expand our interventional radiology services, with particular emphasis on oncologic interventions. Currently, we operate one IR suite at our primary hospital, with institutional support to broaden our footprint. The call burden is minimal, and the position is ideal for someone who values clinical impact without the intensity of a high-volume or high-call environment. Whether you’re looking to grow an IR program or contribute your expertise in a more flexible setting, this role provides both autonomy and support—with a clear pathway to partnership and shared ownership within our practice.
Position Highlights:
- Flexible schedule: 5 or 7 days on, followed by 14 days off
- Optional weekend call; rare in-hospital call-ins
- 1099 independent contractor structure (W-2 employment possible for candidates seeking more hours)
- Dedicated IR coverage for a single, local hospital
- No diagnostic minimums – read only studies that you are comfortable reading
- Full credentialing and licensing support (WA license required to start; we’ll assist with the process)
Location:
Based in the heart of Skagit Valley, just an hour north of Seattle, this position offers a rare blend of professional satisfaction and lifestyle balance. The area is surrounded by Puget Sound’s emerald waters, the Cascade Mountain foothills, and offers easy access to both Seattle and Vancouver, BC. Enjoy a thriving farm-to-table culinary scene, excellent schools, old-growth forests, and some of the country’s best fishing and outdoor recreation — all in a close-knit, semi-rural community that values quality of life.
Join us and enjoy a rewarding career with an independent, collaborative practice in one of the most beautiful regions in the country. Apply today!
