Description
The Department of Radiology at Albany Medical Center in Albany, NY is presently seeking an Interventional Radiologist for a full-time IR position within our practice. This academic position is part of Community Care Physicians, a multi-specialty physician-run private corporation with >400 providers in 30 specialties. Our Radiology division runs a sub-specialized practice covering all areas of radiology, including IR. We administer both IR and DR residency programs as well as medical student electives at Albany Medical Center, which is a 766-bed tertiary care teaching hospital and level I trauma center. We are also responsible for providing IR services at Columbia Memorial Hospital, a 116-bed hospital in Hudson, NY and part of the Albany Med Health System. Our IR practice is both comprehensive and busy. We have prioritized direct patient care as we provide both inpatient and outpatient E&M services to patients receiving a full range of IR procedural services every day. Our off-site outpatient office is centrally located in Latham, NY and includes an OBL where several embolization, venous, and other procedures are performed. We continue to pride ourselves on early adoption of new procedures and new technology and have long-standing research interests, with participation in local and national clinical trials and device development studies. We are looking for an interventional radiologist interested in a full-time position and willing to prioritize patient care, education, and advancing the field of IR within a busy and diverse clinical practice.
