Medical Center Radiologists (MCR) is the largest radiology practice in Southeastern Virginia, providing radiology services to the Hampton Roads region for over 65 years. MCR has 90+ board-certified radiologists and is Virginia's only hybrid academic-private practice. MCR is a physician-owned private practice that also manages the radiology residency program and imaging fellowships for Eastern Virginia Medical School – Old Dominion University (EVMS-ODU). A new interventional radiology residency program is being organized currently for launch in 2026. About the Position
MCR is seeking a fellowship-trained Interventional Radiologist due to the continued growth and expansion of the practice. Join our 11 fellowship-trained IRs and 13 dedicated IR PAs in a robust clinical IR practice. We provide all aspects of interventional radiology out of dedicated and modern departments. The IRs practice 85-90% in dedicated interventional radiology assignments. MCR is a hybrid private practice that manages the radiology residency program for EVMS-ODU. There are teaching opportunities available for those interested. Experienced IRs and current fellows are encouraged to apply.

Compensation and Benefits
- One year to partnership status
- First-year compensation is 90% of shareholder compensation for experienced radiologists and 85% for fellows

Community Info
MCR’s service area includes the communities of Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Chesapeake, Hampton, Newport News, Portsmouth, Suffolk, and Williamsburg - collectively known as Hampton Roads/Tidewater. The greater population of the area exceeds 1 million people. Virginia Beach is mostly suburban in character, with Norfolk a more urban area. Williamsburg is a historic town, originally founded in 1632 and has a small college town feel thanks to The College of William and Mary. All locations offer numerous opportunities for dining, shopping, and outdoor activities, including golf and boating. Additionally, Hampton Roads is a short drive to the outer banks of North Carolina, the Blue Ridge Mountains, and Washington DC. The Hampton Roads area is home to Virginia Wesleyan, Regent, Norfolk State, and Old Dominion Universities.
